Update: The servers are back online. We have a feeling it was a burp in our ISPs network!

[DOWNTIME] Rescheduled Database Server Maintenance

We’ll be rescheduling the maintenance for the main database server to start at 8pm Friday evening (February 6th, 2009) until 8am the following morning (Saturday the 7th). During this time all of Scribbld will be offline.

[DOWNTIME] Database Server Maintenance

This coming Monday (February, 2nd, 2009), we’re going to be working on the database server. Unfortunately all sites and services will be unavailable during this period. We expect the downtime to last from 8am until 8pm EST.

ISP/Router/IP Issues

Hello all,

We’re currently having some router issues. It’s possible that our ISP removed our block of IPs from us (for reasons unknown to us). We’re currently in talks with our ISP and their looking through our account records to see what is happening. We’ll update you with as much information as we can as we get it!

Update: Looks like it wasn’t our ISP, the router or our block of IPs. One of the servers on the network went all wonky and pretty much crashed the entire network. The issue has been resolved.

All servers and services are online.

Main Database Server Offline

Our main database server is currently offline at the moment. We’re working to discover what has taken it off.

November 10, 2008 - Emergency Database Server Maintence!!!

Today we noticed the storage space on the database server has gotten low and it happened A LOT quicker then we thought it would. We’ll be moving the databases to a FW800 external drive in hopes to clear up some internal storage.

We expect this to take a few hours at most. We’ll be updating this post with information.

Update: We’ve optimized our database server as best as we can and it should use storage space much more efficiently! All services and servers are back online!

It seems cluster 2 is down again. Working to get it back up as soon as possible!

A really nasty storm passed through last night and it looks like it’s knocked out power too all the servers. There’s not much I can do but wait until power has been restored.

We’re currently performing some unscheduled maintenance right now. It should only take 20-30 minutes.

We’re undergoing some emergency database maintenance right now. Please assume we’ll be down until tomorrow morning to early afternoon.
